Get Wald 135 Deep Sized Grocery Front Handlebar Bike Basket

Description

We know you love the 133, 3133, and 157 baskets. But what happens when you want to haul something that isn't overly large, but can really weigh you down? We thought you'd probably bust out a welding torch and tack a couple of legs on the 133 basket. So that's exactly what we did. The 135 is the exact same size as our popular 133 and 3133 baskets with shorter handlebar mounts and legs bolted to the bottom of the basket. Perfect for a couple of two liters, or a six-pack with some chips and salsa to go. Give us some Fat Tire Ale, Mission Restaurant Style Tortilla Triangles and Frog Ranch salsa any day! Available in plated (135), black (135BL), and white (135WH) finish. Legs match the finish of the basket. Dimensions: 14.5 x 9.5 x 9 inches.

Features

  • Wald 135-front basket
  • Basket size 14.5-inches, 9.5-inches, and 9-inches
  • Legs match the finish of the basket

3 out of 5 stars Bicycle basket
Kathleen Weidner

The basket is good quality, strong and durable. It is smaller than we thought, therefore it does not hold as much. Also, the brackets to connect it to the wheels for more stability were not long enough to attach to the wheels of the beach cruiser we bought it for.

Morris D. Corson

The basket is good and sturdy but the support struts were too shor for 2 bikes and I had to "jurry rig" extentions.

I bought this basket for my mountain bike, wanting something less bulky than the "quick release" baskets. It's less bulky, and still holds quite a bit (of course not as much as a basket for the back!), but the legs that came with it can't be used with quick release front tires, which wasn't mentioned in the product description, and if it was, it's pretty hidden! you can buy special attachments at "your local bike shop" - so say the instructions, but i haven't bothered - part of the reason I bought it was because it was inexpensive. But even without the legs, it functions just fine, probably a little rattlier than it would have been with them, but it doesn't fall on the tire or anything.Overall, I'm a little disappointed, but with the selection I've seen, I'd honestly still buy this one again.

I received 2 of these for my hybrid bicycles.Let me start by saying I was a little sceptical about how they would fit.As I opened the box I was pleasently surprised with the quality of these baskets.I read thru the instructions a couple of times before touching any tools. It took about 15 leisurely minutes to assemble and install each basket. They fit like they were custom made for my bikes.I can hardly wait to take my first trip to the grocery store! My hats off to WALDS for making such beautiful, functional products.....Right here in America!!!!!!

This is the 3rd time I've purchased this basket for 3 different bikes. I can tell you it is the best and I would never ever buy another. It is deep and wide enough for my huge book bag and plenty of room for some grocerys.

1 out of 5 stars Don't buy from Niagara Cycle
Fred Wilson

The product is fine. It did not fit my bicycle. After two emails, two phone calls and emails to Amazon, I have yet to get a return authorization that you must send with the returned item ( or they send it back ). This is not the customer service I would expect from companies that partner with Amazon. Do not buy from this company if you are not quite sure it is exactly what you want.

3 out of 5 stars Does not fit hybrid bicycles
Ricky Lopez

Purchased this to mount on my hybrid bicycle but the brackets that attach to the front wheel hub are not the correct angle. I bought a few things from a hardware store to make it fit (an elbow joint, a few washers, larger screws, and nuts to keep it tight).Since my basket installation was modified, it does rattle but I still feel secure with the contents in it. As far as volume, it could fit about 2 gallons of milk (although it would be tight). Hope this helps.

The baskets are great, just what college kids need. They hold a backpack quite nicely. A bit of a challenge to attach to the handlebars due to the bike's handlebars being a bit wider than the clamp, but doable.
