Well made basket, but much smaller than I expected

I like the basket, its made very well and will serve the original purpose well. This basket was purchased to hold all my son's Easter surprises on Easter. My intention is to use it in his room for laundry afterwards and it will work well for his size of clothing (he's 5 years old). If you are looking for a laundry basket that is more the size of the plastic ones you get at Target or other department stores, this is not the item for you. Rated 4 stars for size (a little smaller than picture makes you believe)

Pretty and Nice but WAY small!

This product is pretty and a nice quality but the dimensions are way off. The description says it is 22", it's really 19". They said it was 14.5 when it is really 11". I thought, based on the given size description, that I could use this for spare pillows but it is way too small. Too Small for any amt of laundry unless it is baby doll clothes.

How can they lie about the size of this thing the way they do? This is supposed to be a laundry basket, and it barely fits a set of sheets. I'm disgusted. The box got destroyed being left in the rain, so how much is it going to cost me to get this thing returned?

I ordered 2 and one had "damaged" written on the plastic and 1 of the handles was broken off. A big pain to return such a huge box. I am using the other one and do like it for small loads of laundry, but I still only give it 2 stars because I know the handle is going to give out - it's just not sturdy enough to last a long time if you actually use it.

I was searching for a rattan laundry basket and this item kept coming up. I was pressed for time and gave this one a try. When I received it at work, I didn't have time to inspect and threw the box away. At home, I noticed this was simply brown twisted paper around a black lacquered metal frame. I hate it but I will use it anyway since I paid for it. I don't want to spend $20 for a box to ship it back to Amazon for a $20 refund since Amazon will charge me at least $5 to ship it back to them. My worst buy from Amazon for 2012.

This is quality material in these baskets. The liners are extremely nice as well! 3 for the price of $27 with super saver shipping, it just can't be beat. Better than any price at Walmart for this quality. I couldn't even find at Target, Michaels, Homegoods. I highly recommend these. They are perfect size. The bigger ones we put in our linen closet and work great. I used the two smaller ones on the back of the toilet to add to decorative look. Other little ones I am using for miscellaneous. I will be purchasing even more of these.

The baskets are okay, but they are not "dark brown." I had to reorder in "black" to get them to come closer to matching our black-brown furniture. So, I returned the "dark brown," purchased the "black" (not the black stain, but I couldn't tell the difference between the two colors in any pictures on Amazon or any other websites that sold these same baskets), and was happier with them. However, I washed the liner for each, and they frayed very very badly. I was able to turn it inside out and use them without the fray showing (after I cut the loose ends), but will not be able to wash them again for fear of them falling apart. If you don't need to wash them (we were putting them in a nursery, so I did!), then you should be okay with the way they arrive. One thing I did like about them is that they weren't jagged with sharp pieces or edges like a lot of baskets are.

in the fisrt night we received this product. we started hearing an strange noise that we did not know where it was coming from. the second day with the product we kept hearing this strange noise, I was getting ready for my daily book reading and it was bothering me. so I decided to look for the noise maker and would not stop until I find it. therefore, following the sound took me to the product I bought from Amazon. and find out some termite dirt like was sorrounding one of the corners of the product. I took a better look at it and found that there was some type of termite inside of it, which was eating up the woodlike product.so, whenever you buy a woodlike product check it before you set it up. make sure it is not infested with anything.

I bought these to use in my bathroom. I have a palm tree themed bathroom and deiced that the dark brown stain would match well. They are a bit dark, but definitely brown. I used one of the smaller baskets to hold items on the tank of my toilet. It is big enough to hold an extra roll of toilet paper, a can of Febreeze and wet wipes. The 2nd small basket is on my bathroom counter. It holds my hair styling products, lotion and mouthwash. The large basket is in my room and holds my beanies, gloves and scarfs. I am a fan of these baskets and would recommend them.

When I needed a container to keep my baby's toys handy in the kitchen, I was looking for two main things: 1) Soft-sided and lightweight, so that she could dump the toys in the floor like she expects to, rather than get stuck head-first inside it; and 2) a muted color that would harmonize with her room decor and not take over. I hit the jackpot with these Badger Baskets. The big one is exactly the right size to hold all those toys, sturdy enough that I can easily shove it out of the way with my foot when I'm working in the kitchen, and light enough that my baby can move it around herself. The medium one is a handy size for anything, and the little one served as a great mini toy box when I wanted to tote a few playthings along to a friend's house.Color: I first tried the green, but I don't think "sage" is a very good name for that color. It was not exactly bold, but a tad too bright, especially when contrasted with the old PBK green gingham that my girl has inherited in her room. So I ordered the pink instead, which is turns out to be a nice, cheerful, "watermelon sorbet" kind of color on the outside, with a paler pink lining. Received these baskets just a few days after ordering. The green is lighter than pictured, more lime green than shown. Baskets were easy to fold out & setup and seem sturdy! I wouldn't recommend them for super heavy items but for things like what I'm using them for- diapers, onesies, etc. they are great.

Great for towels - zero mental space

I have a small bathroom that needed a place for towels. The sink is open and has chrome legs that are custom. I was looking for a simple solution for storing towels that did not take up and extra visual space. The towels look fantastic in this basket. This basket is exactly as pictured, is well made, and works well. It's a bit smaller than I had visualized. I measured to check and the dimensions shown are correct, but note that they measure from tip to tip of the handles (which flare outwards) and the actual basket is about 1 1/4" less at the top and 11 inches at the bottom (about 3 1/2 inches less). Not a big deal, but something to note.Still it's nice enough and big enough for many things. Those who need something a little bigger may want to consider this item: Design Ideas Mesh Storage Nest, Silver, Giant which is taller and holds more, though it cost more as well.All in all, this item is fairly priced and a solid 4 stars.

I ordered this basket for use in my bathroom, on the vanity countertop, to organize bottles and containers. Because the bottom of the basket is not solid, I found that the bottles did not stand, but fell over, and looked more cluttered than when they were just sitting out on the countertop. So I switched the use to my utility room to store potatoes and onions. Since the basket is sitting on the floor, I like the fact that the basket has handles for easy lifting. So even though I can't use it for the purpose I intended, it is being used and I'm happy with its appearance and quality.

This is a nice functional basket. However, the seams where the metal is matched together are very rough. I am using it for light items but if you tried to put alot of weight or items in this basket, not sure what the metal seams would do. They appear to just be touching each other without being soldered in place. If had paid anymore for it, might have returned it but will see how it does.

Attractive Storage Bin for IKEA Expedit

I bought these to fit in my IKEA Expedit bookcase (black-brown color) and they look great! The fit the width exactly, but are about 3 - 4 inches shorter from the top of the cubby. It still looks nice, but you can see into the bins without pulling them out.The bins are very sturdy and are the same color as pictured on the website. I would definitely recommend them.

I originally ordered one of these bins with idea of ordering several more if I liked it. I do like it, however, since one of the uses listed is for file folders, I thought the size would be such that the hanging file folders would fit end to end. In order for them to fit, you need to squeeze the sides of the bin together and then the corners of the bin will bind when trying to slide the file folders. My main reason for this product was to use the bins for hanging file folders and get rid of my old metal filing cabinet. But, that will not work with this bin. I may return it or just keep it for storing other things. But, I was dissappointed that it is just a bit to wide for the file folder hangers to slide.This is a good quality bin for storage of many items, but, in my case, not for hanging file folders.

Instead of buying a $6.00 paper bag; I paid a little more and put my niece's baby shower items in this bin that she can use in the nursery. Colors were deep brown and blue, and this fit right in. Even if she wants to use it to stack diapers etc.; it's worth a few bucks more to have something that you can actually use.

Great for sorting smaller loads of laundry

I use these, along with the larger ones, to pre sort my laundry. I own 3 of the larger ones for jeans, colors and whites and use the smaller ones for smaller loads of delicates, hand wash items and delicate whites. Having them sorted like this means I can just grab a load and throw int the wash versus having to sort them just before. I did read one review that said they wouldn't stand up on their own, I have not had this problem.Currently, I have these on the floor stacked one on top of the other. I either have the first one straight, the second one at an angle ( where one corner is facing the front) the other straight, so that the corners are sticking out from the center and I have space to throw stuff in them or I have them all stacked one on top of the other with the lower one sticking out a few inches more than the top one so that the bottom one ends up being a few inches away from the wall and the top one leans up against the wall for support. This also give me access to put stuff in all of them. They hold up fine. I don't put heavy stuff in them, though.I've had these for over two years and they've held their shape. I think they were a great buy just wish they had come in another color other than brown.

My kitchen is smaller than I would like it to be, and storage space is at a premium. I wanted one of these to store things like lemons and onions in, and chose this one based on the reviews.It's well-made and holds quite a bit of weight; I've got at least six pounds of produce in there right now, and it's holding up just fine. My only problem was setting it up - the chains which join the baskets together are attached with little hooks, and I had to fiddle with them quite a bit to get the baskets to hang straight. Apart from that, good purchase - I'd recommend it.

Yes, it isn't very well designed. The chains are difficult to keep from coming apart while you hang it up. Once it is in place it works okay. What ever you do don't knock it!

I absolutely love this! I received it in November 2013. It came very quickly. I hung it up about two weeks ago. I have constantly kept fruit in it. Just now I piled over 12 lbs of apples, pears, oranges and bananas in the baskets. It is holding and has been holding just fine with this much weight since we hung it up. I had my husband hang it from a stud in our kitchen ceiling so it wont come crashing down. I have not had any issues with the chain falling apart as some others have stated. I am very happy with my purchase. (I was going to post a picture of how full my baskets are.)

I recently purchased two of the Closetmaid 9 Cube Organizers, in Black, shown here:ClosetMaid Cubeicals® Cubeicals 9 Cube Organizer Black Ash.I filled both shelf units with these cloth cubes (fabric drawers), in brown and tan, and I LOVE them! They look wonderful. I can store a lot of "clutter" in an attractive and practical way.These fabric drawers come flattened in plastic. All you need to do is open the packaging, open the cube, and push the bottom section into place - and you're done!My only complaint, and it's a small one, is I wish these drawers had handles on both sides. There is only one handle on each drawer. Two handles would make it easier to move, especially when you've filled it with your things!We put our shelves and fabric drawers in our living room. But several of my friends have these as well, and I've noticed that they are very kid-friendly. So I think these would also be great in a kids room, or even a closet.If you like your "clutter" to be out of sight, or if you live in a small space and need more storage, or if you have kids, or if you're looking for a way to organize your closet, I can't recommend these enough!

The fabric drawers seem to be sturdy and well made. The color, however, is not a rich brown like it appears in the picture. It is much lighter.

While these can be used as drawers in an organizer, I use mine as a stand-alone container for books that are in line to be read and kept next to the sofa - beats piling them up on the table. It comes folded flat, and until I noticed the stiff fabric square that goes in the bottom, my thought was that this would never work. Once that square is placed in the open container, it stays open nicely and is sturdy enough for my uses. The brown one, called Canteen Brown, is a medium color with a bit of gray tone to it. It's a nice neutral color, and goes well with the other browns in my room.These cute containers help me look like a book collector rather than a book hoarder, and that makes me happy. I have another one that I use as my dog's toy box, so when I got this one and put books in it, my dog looked to see what was in it for him, and looked somewhat disgusted that it held nothing but dumb old books. Life is hard.

Yeah, I measured first, but they were still a little smaller than I thought. I got these to go with the ClosetMaid 895600 31-Inch Vertical Laminate Closet Organizer, and they did not fit.I'll use them somewhere else though, they're handy, and cute.
