Make sure you check the measurements -- this thing really is BIG! I would probably recommend one of the smaller Wald models for most people. But if you're serious about hauling a lot of stuff, this thing is great. I took home almost half a shopping cart full of groceries the other day. Having this much room opens up so many possibilities for running errands where you may have otherwise driven a car. The design is very sturdy. Mounting it to the bike was a bit challenging (I'm not not mechanically inclined), but I did finally get it. I recommend keeping the screws somewhat loose until you are sure about how it will fit on the bike.Shipping was very fast and the packaging was thorough but not excessive.

This is one humongous basket! I bought it for my 17 pound dog and he fits.

A very big and sturdy basket! I put on Scooter's seat belt and attach it to a large carabineer and off we go ! A very high quality product and plenty of space for my 19 lb. Shih Tzu Scooter. Very easy to attach to my bike (my husband did it...haha). The only con was it wouldn't fit on my other bike that has a removable wheel...

I bought this basket to carry my 15 lb. Terrier and I couldn't be happier. I had a milk crate on the rack of my recumbent trike and it didn't give my dog much room to do anything. I looked and read a lot of reviews and decided on this LARGE basket, it works perfect, he's got plenty of room to move around, lay down or do anything he wants. It's well built, zip ties onto the rack very well and if I ever go anytime without him it has very little wind resistance. I would highly recommend this basket to take your buddy out on the bike. I think it would work on a little bigger dog too, but I wouldn't want to get any smaller basket for this size dog.

I bought this directly from Wald because I had a hard time finding the black one anywhere but there. This is one serious basket. There are a few things to be careful of though:Make sure that your bicycle is heavy enough to handle this. This is not for a lightweight mountain bike or any kind of road bike. This is best on a cruiser or industrial bicycle. I put mine on the Torker Big-T and it works well. It's HEAVY. Very heavy. Which is good because that weight translates into strength. It's very strong, and YOU will be too after pedaling it around for a while.Moving a heavy load on the front of the bicycle will take some getting used to, so be careful and go slow.Save yourself some trouble and buy the small bungee nets for it now, they do a great job of keeping cargo in place while going over cracked sidewalks. Wald also makes a liner for this in black, and Husky makes a safety yellow liner, for carrying small items.A handlebar mounted bike light can be problematic with this unit. See if you can find a fender mounted light like the old fashion ones, or possibly the ones that clamp to the side of the forks. I fashioned a set that bolts to the bottom of the basket, using over sized fender washers through the mesh of the basket, it works well. This is a serious, heavy duty basket that can carry more than you can pedal (probably, I'm using myself as an example and I'm 6'4" and 200 lbs) and will last a really long time.Good job Wald!

I bought this basket for my dog to ride in. It is definitely big enough. My dog is about 15 lbs. and this basket is more than big enough..I think I could fit another small-medium dog in it with my own.I did not realize when I first ordered this basket that it does not work with mountain bikes/suspension because it is a front axle mounted frame. Luckily, my dad is great with stuff like this and he easily placed clamps around the front frame of the bike and we mounted it to that. It is very sturdy and works great.I would recommend this basket for sure. I had looked around for quite a while for a front bicycle basket, and am really happy with the price on this one, the fast shipping, and the overall quality. It is very, very sturdy and can carry quite a load.

These have been, and will continue to be, the go to choice for the bike messenger looking to do some real cargo. I rocked one of these (ok, I went through a couple) for several years before switching to a CETMA rack. I'd also use it for grocery shopping; fits three full paper grocery bags side-by-side.
