We wanted a nice looking, roomy hamper that had an easily removable liner that could be washed, and this is it! I bought it at first for my baby daughter's room. We didn't want a lid to get in the way of tossing in laundry one handed. We had limited wall space for a hamper, and this fit nicely next to the changing table. However, it has a large volume due to the square shape. We've washed the liner about once a week for 2 years (warm or hot), and it has held up well (though it did shrink a little in length - actually a nice benefit so that wet baby laundry didn't touch the floor).It looks and works so well, I just got another one for our master bedroom closet. Forget about lids - they just get in the way. If you wash your laundry regularly, you don't really need one. A great hamper for a great price.

If you're looking for a solid and attractive wicker-weave hamper, this isn't it. I ordered it expecting just that, but was surprised to discover that only two sides of the item are actually "basket-y"; though one can't tell from the photo, the other two sides are a drab brown canvas. What's more, the cover to the hamper isn't a firm flip-top lid; it's a flopsy bit of canvas topped with bamboo that sort of "rests" uneasily on top of the hamper's four sides. It wasn't right for me at all, since I really wanted a sturdy basket to contain my dirty laundry. Fortunately, I had no trouble arranging a return and ordering something else.

This hamper looks great and holds about two loads for me. The wicker exterior is nice to look at rather then dirty cloths as I had a plastic basket before. I did have a problem the first time putting the inside frame together then I realized that one of the holes on the 3-hole anchor was deeper then the other two. The deeper hole is where the longer rods should be inserted. I also use a mallet to make sure all the rods were in all the way, otherwise the frame will not fit inside the wicker. I wish the instructions would have indicated this about the holes. I'm happy with the hamper and would not hesitate getting another one.

It looks nice, but it's not as sturdy as I'd hoped. The sticks on the bottom often COME out from the hole, so the entire hamper collapses because of it :( Plus I like a hamper that I can CARRY to my laundry room, but this one, you cannot carry anywhere, because it WILL fall apart

It probably helped that several reviewers complained about how hard it was to put together; I went into it with determination. However, it was a breeze! I put it together in less than five minutes, and I am THE LEAST handy person ever. In fact, I was so worried about it based on the reviews, I left it in the package in a corner and we stared at each other for a week. Finally, I decided I wasn't going to let it stare me down anymore. I got the package out and read the directions. I kept in mind the reviewers' hints (and frankly it is in bold on the directions) to ensure the poles are pushed hard into the connectors. I think it was about four minutes and the whole thing is put together and gorgeous. Honestly, do not let concerns over the assembly stop you; it was a cinch, and it is a gorgeous product.

Ultimately I'm happy with this product. For the price it is worth it and fits in well in my bathroom. The biggest pain point is putting it together. If you like aerobics, stretching and sweating than putting the rods in place could be just the ticket for you. It seems like the rods aren't measured right to fit the frame of the hamper.Also, if you are looking for a sturdy hamper, this isn't it. I hope this helps.

I have been very happy with this hamper. It is actually bigger than 1X1 - it's 15" X 15" and quite tall. The bamboo looks really good - I just wish it was on all 4 sides. I don't use the flap - I just let it hang down off the back and you don't even see it; it hangs flat. It's sturdy enough to pick it up when full and carry it. Very pleased.

I LOVE this little hamper. It was the lowest priced hamper on Amazon, so I expected it to be flimsy. But it surprised me with high quality construction, ease in assembly, and sturdy fabrics & bamboo. It really holds a lot for its tiny size (14"wide, 13.5"deep, 25" high). I am going to order two more and put the three together for whites, darks, and colors. They will ALL fit in a small floor space along the wall.
